A PIN is your Personal Identification Number. Your PIN, a special four-digit number that you choose, will make your eWIC card work at an authorized retail location. Choose a 4-digit number that is easy for you to remember but hard for someone else to guess or figure out if you lose your card. To keep your benefits safe, never tell anyone your PIN, never write it on the eWIC card, and never keep it with the eWIC card.
|
Call Customer Service at 1-844-309-5653 to set your PIN. You will need the 16-digit eWIC card number along with the name, date of birth, and zip code of the primary cardholder. Once your PIN is set, you may begin using your eWIC card to redeem your benefits. For security reasons, your local WIC clinic staff cannot set your PIN for you.
|
Keep your card in a clean, dry place. Keep your card out of direct sunlight and away from magnets and electronics. If your card is not working, refer to the FAQ 'What do I do if my Georgia eWIC card is lost, stolen, or damaged?
|
If you enter the wrong PIN three times in a row, your card will be locked. Here are the ways to unlock your card: - Call WIC Customer Service at 1-844-309-5653
- Wait until 12:01 a.m. the next day & your account will automatically unlock

You must have your Georgia eWIC card with you at the store to use your WIC benefits. You can use your eWIC card at Georgia WIC authorized retailers. Use the Georgia WIC Approved Foods List brochure to plan and shop. The Georgia WIC Approved Foods List includes information on what foods and brands are WIC approved. The Shopping List indicates the specific types and quantities of WIC foods that have been allowed for your household. The Shopping List also includes the dates that your food benefits can be used. Any unused benefits are lost if not used by midnight of the Benefit End Date. - When purchasing WIC and non-WIC foods at the same time, always swipe your eWIC card as the first form of payment
- You may use coupons and loyalty cards when making WIC purchases
- SWIPE your eWIC card and follow the directions on the card reader, you will need to know the 4-digit PIN
- Foods not covered by your monthly benefits require another form of payment
When you receive your grocery receipt, make sure the information on the receipt is correct. The receipt will show what your beginning balance for each allowed food item was, how much was deducted from this purchase, and what is remaining. Save your receipt so you will know your remaining WIC balance the next time you shop. Unused benefits do not carry over to the next month. If you lose your receipt, you may check your remaining balance by calling the Customer Service toll-free number at 1-844-309-5653, or by checking your balance at an authorized WIC retailer. Misuse of your Georgia eWIC Card or food benefits is a violation of state and federal laws.
